Allergen Information Requirement
It is a legal obligation for mass catering venues to display information on 14 allergen groups to end consumers via menu, poster or notice board. Shortcomings found during ministry inspections result in administrative penalties.
Posanto's digital menu automatically attaches allergen icons and a detail page to every product. All 14 allergen groups are built into the system — simply select the relevant allergens when defining a product and they appear instantly on the customer app's branch menu.
Menu and Price List Transparency
Restaurants, cafés, patisseries and similar establishments must display their price list in a manner that customers can easily see and read. All items including service charges must be stated clearly and prices must be shown in Turkish lira (₺).
When a customer selects a branch, Posanto's customer app displays that branch's menu and prices in ₺, including service charges and any additional items, in a fully transparent layout. Any price change reflects instantly across all channels.
Price Label Violation Penalty
Under the 2026 figures published by the Ministry of Trade, an administrative fine of ₺3,973 is applied per violation of price label and price list obligations. The fine can compound per product or transaction.
With centralised price management, prices are updated from a single point across all branches — eliminating the risk of inconsistencies. The digital menu always stays up to date.
Food Business QR Code Requirement
Under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry's Food Business Information System (GIBS), food sales and mass catering venues are required to display a business-specific QR code in a visible location for consumers.
